I regularly visit Alsancak Post Office to see if there is any mail, and last week, picked up one letter. However, I called in again yesterday, the last day of February, and was given 6 Christmas cards, and 3 Christmas letters, all stamped in Lefkosa before December 15th!!! Any ideas as to where they might have been between then and now?

down the back of a cupboard, maybe. Or at the bottom of a non-Santa's sack pending delivery. trouble is I bet the people who send them thought you didn't love them any more as they had not heard back. Just another little piece of Cypriot 'quaintness' that drives one barmy.
