Hi

Can anyone give me an idea how much it costs to replace the filtration sand for an average 9x5 swimming pool and how often it should be done

Hi Greg,



You would be better off replacing your sand with zeolite,holds alot more muck than sand and therefor doesn't need back washing so often so you save on water.

Only place I know that stocks it is Billy at the waterpark,I think it's 15 quid a bag and you'll need 4 for your sand barrel.

Bags of filtration sand cost £10 per bag and to fill you will need about 10. Wouldnt have thought you would need 10 maybe 2 or 3. Need to change sand about every 4 years.
