I hope you are correct Andy, i've just purchased a property, mentioned it on this site and was fed to the lions, abused & made to feel like a kid, apart from a few genuine folk who offered advice, i found the rest were simply that negative & rude i actually began to have second thoughts on what i had purchased.

im sure these people would not say these things face to face over a beer, its strange whats said in front of a computer screen, some people seem to get very brave!!

Anyway, i'd better not say too much as i am pretty new to this site and i spend hours trawling through all the negatives & have to choose my words carefully, wondering if i've worded things correctly so to not upset the board??!!

Anyway,

Whats the worst that will happen in reality on this test case in my language (a workin man, married, three kids in England who has bought a place in north cyprus for his family)???????

I agree that there are far too many doom mongers on this board. You should always do your homework when making an investment in UK and abroad .I feel very sorry for all the people who have suffered but I have friends in Spain who are also suffering from scams etc in Spain that is meant to be in EU and protected but they aren't. Then look at UK banks - not so safe now are they! We have bought a property in TRNC and we are very happy with it and our glass is very much half full. We need some objective positivity on this board!
