I wish to arrange a "Turkish Language Competition" evening for our students. I shall need the participation of other teachers to plan ahead to work out details such as date, venue, content, prizes and panel of judges etc.

I believe our students would love the event, and it would probably attract other potential students who are residents in our country. It could even develop into regular social events, where "Turkish only" spoken social activities will be jointly participated in.

If interested, please contact me on turkishlessons1to1@yahoo.com so that we can arrange a meeting to take things further

Brilliant idea bigOz. Problem for me that I would be a wallflower as my Turkish is at the level of a 3/4 year old at the moment.

Never mind, growing up fast

If it happens, the event will be open to everyone to attend - that way, one could test their own level by listening to the competition

It would also be a good test of how much really anyone has learn / is learning. I intend to use a good venue with a bar with no enterance fees, and probably try and get a sponsor where drinks would be sold at cost price (or there abouts)

AN APOLOGY TO MY STUDENTS!

Sorry everyone - I know you were very eager for an event as such, but unfortunately, it seems you have no competition, so we shall have to arrange for something amongst ourselves.

Many must have been huffing and puffing all this time about how well they have been learning - well, where are you all?
