Just been announced hose pipe bans in South East England, that means sharing the bath (guess who will get plug hole end) brush your teeth every other day, using the bog by written appointment to water board, and they got the cheek to come around and fit us all up with water meters, dont suppose there is any spare rain in Cyprus that could sent over here ;-)

how about this then , 2 guys came to my door asking for a tv license , whats that all about , we pay £600 per year for sky , we dont drive our telly down the streets ?

Ah yes, the joys of TV licenses and 'Big Brother' just around the corner. And now a hose pipe ban! You poor lot. why do you think some of us prefer North Cyprus? And we pay only half of a Sky package for Digiturk, plus no community charge whereby you need an overdraft to pay it. One mkust be careful with water, but how lovely to be able to say 'sorry darling, can't clean the car, the government won't let me' or 'sorry darling, can't water the lawn, the government won't let me' . Cleanliness might be next to godliness, but that is not a Biblical idea, merely that of a soap manufacturer, I reckon. so, if you can't use water, go out and get some Chanel 5 and realise you are loving your neighbour by ensuring that you are protecting his rights to clean water (or his small share of it) and that you are united in sharing very little.
