Avast has just been rated 'best free AV programme' via a computer website - think it was CN Net.

Go to "filehippo.com" and down load AVAST and AVG BOTH are Free and I have them both as they do not conflict with each other.

I used AVG Antivirus http://free.avg.com/ww-en/homepage until I got infected one day by a rather nasty Trojan, I now use ESET NOD32 Antivirus 5 http://www.eset.com/home/products/antivirus/?source=smallbanner-1&medium=titlepage&content=banner01&campaign=1ESET-NOD32-Antivirus-5 and find it well worth spending £2.00/Month! There's always something missing from the free 'lite' versions.

We mainly use avg TOGETHER with lavasoft ad-aware internet security free software.

Avg can be replaced by avast or nod32 depending on your taste.

I have avast but it only lasts for a certain length of time is there something that I can do to keep it instead of keep renewing the free one?

Thanks.......................
