Does anyone know if having a TRNC kimlik card means that one can buy property in Turkey without the need of going through military approval of the purchase Thanks

I don't know, but if the TRNC is annexed to Turkey it may become a question that needs answering,or a question of no relevance ............

I am not sure about the regulations applicable for Turkish Cypriots but I do know that Turkish Citizenship is easily available for all Turkish Cypriots. All you have to do is to apply to the Turkish embassy. Job done. ismet

Thanks. I don't really want to become a Turkish Citizen. My life is complicated enough. Hopefully you are right Deniz.

We have a TC friend and kimlik holder, who also holds a British passport. Around two years ago he purchased a house in Turkey. From what i understand you need to get some sort of Turkish registration/ Tax/ insurance card, so you have a number. Then he was free to purchase. Got his kochan handed to him by the seller before he had even sent to the funds for the purchase over from his UK account. Very different from here!
