Further to the postings regarding shopping restrictions on the Sth etc. I should just like to add that I did as requested on this board and 'bought from the North'!! Actually it was a box of Cadbury's Roses from Tempo cost me something like £20 and they are all marbled and stale!!!!!!!!! Great! So happy I bought from the North!!!!

But lets ban dairy products from the south to protect the rip off shopkeepers oops I mean trnc economy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, perhaps they would be better doing spot checks on the stores that tot up on a calculater the press open on the till without putting the goods through the till !! Oh yea we can not do that coz they are T/cs AND THEY CAN DO WHAT THE CHUFFIN EK THEY WANT ,,,,,,,,,,, Well the worms are turning leaving and getting hacked off. |

Those ads from yesteryear, didn't we have some crap ones !!! " The milky bars are on me " " What we want is watneys " Probably cost about £100 to make compared to £ 1,000,000 today !! At least years ago you knew what they are advertising, todays ads don't let you know until the last five seconds of the ad and then you still have to guess !

Anyone who pays £20 for a box of chocolates needs to go and visit the nearest mental institution. There are many other products you could have bought that were not "CADBURY'S"! So stop moaning, you are the one who paid the price for a product that is not normally for sale here. For me this is just another example of some body coming to live away from UK but MUST still have UK products. OK I know what will now be said but then I am happy with life on our muddy building site paying 90kurus per unit for electric etc.

A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, in the most delightful way... A very expensive spoonful of sugar. How many chocolates do you get in a box for 20 quid?

Nige 'Was it nescafe original ? or another flavour I got original.' Blimey I did not realize that Nescafe instant was so sophisticated. Sounds far too up-market for me, I think I will stick to Turkish coffee. AJ

I have seen this topic for a couple of days now and resisted opening it cos I thought it would be sad that someone bought some roses for someone, nice and romantic, and they turned out to be knackered. Bloody chocolates!! The moaning levels drop to some pretty dark depths sometimes. Enjoy the next few days and lets hope the New Year brings a few more smiles. Skogsy

Message 37 - Turbo - we used to have "Camp Coffee with Chicory Essence" when I was a kid. I think my Mum thought we were quite sophisticated, having "coffee" in the house! I thought it was revolting! We remember Ercan airport in the early 90's, before they tarted it up, when the refreshment place sold things that we hadn't seen in the UK since around the mid-50's. Happy Days - it was like a step back in time. PS Yes - you can still buy Camps Coffee J
