I think that before anyone can answer your question, they will need to know exactly what it is that you are asking, e.g....Which Bank offers the best:

Interest rate on Sterling Deposit accounts?

Exchange rate on Sterling Deposits?

Also, bear in mind that some Banks charge you for every transaction, both in and out, and/or may charge up to 3% for just receiving a Sterling transfer from a UK Bank - which may negate either of the above rates...

PLUS! - UK Banks may well charge you a (Capped) fee for transferring money to a foreign account.

If you tell us what you are trying to do, then someone (probably not me ) may be able to suggest the best all-round solution.

nothing complicated just want to put a small amount of sterling in for 6 months or so.
