Hi i was wondering if anyone can recommend any kennels in north cyprus, i posted a thread on here a little while ago re bringing my bulldog lulu over and i now have this all sorted.. But i would like to bring my dog over before we arrive by about 4/6 weeks rather than leave her here and come back for her. The only wasy round this is if i travel with her wait until quarentine is completed and then place her in kennels for a 2/3 weeks travel back get the rest of the troop and then back to cyprus.. If any one has any recommendations on kennels they have used or any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks natascia

Hi there don't you think it will be traumatic enough to bring your dog over and quarantine for however long they decide, without then going away and leaving her with strangers however caring they are. Personally I would send her over with me and then after quarantine she is home.

hi to everyone that left helpful info, thank you.. to others who seem to think that it is unkind / traumatic.. i think as the owner of my dog which is cared for very very well i am able to make the correct decision regarding her transportation and welfare.. i asked for recommendations on kennels not opinions on the welfare of my dog.. thank you lilli and magicart for all your help once again.. natascia

and billy buck do you actually have pets??? i think cruelty and mistreating animals is very unkind..... i dont think paying extortianate amounts of money to get the family pet from uk to cyprus not on any airlines as they dont accept bulldogs.. to travel with her and get her there safely as possible without any stress to do quarentine whilst i am with her everyday and to leave her in the care of professional people in kennells for 2/3 weeks is VERY VERY UNKIND.....????? well i presume then the professionals that do this job for a living are incapable as they will mistreat the animal??? i really do not see your point and you have made a mistake in telling me that i would even think about being unkind to my famiy pet... i think people who buy a dog and throw it away with the rubbish or abuse there animals are UNKIND PEOPLE....

Hi lulubell, We have just collected our dog from the Topdog Hotel. She was there for 17 days.During her stay the owners sent us an e-mail every couple of days, just to let us know that she was safe and well. The kennels are always imaculate and the owners are dedicated to dogs.(They have 3 of their own) We wouldn't hesitate to put her there again- as we know she will be happy there and well looked after. This is not an advert for The Topdog Hotel-its a recommendation based on our experience. Good Luck!!
