Khan and AJ from Club Tropicana have now taken over China Garden (its new name will be announced shortly). The bar is open from 6pm every evening and the restaurant will be open early April.

So has Tropicana now effectively moved to the China Garden? Will they be serving the same food as Tropicana, or will they be offering the chinese food?

Whatever happens with both Tropicana and the China Garden both of which I liked, a few menu changes would not come amiss as I don't think they have changed much, if at all, over the years and much the same food is served in most of the Indian/ European restaurants. Visted Nosheen,s last week.....blown away by both the a la carte menu and the Sunday curry special, yes, a little more expensive but definitely worth it.

Never felt the food at China Garden was the same once the Chinese chef had gone. It certainly needed some revamping as in the day time the interior was well past its use by date.

China Garden will be renamed, and will no longer be a Chinese Restaurant. Their menu will be Indian, Mexican and European. They have a good Curry Chef and of course AJ. Repainting, and tidying up, etc being undertaken at the moment, but the bar is open now from 6pm daily.

Hi All good morning I agree with most of the points made in the earlier posts. While my wife and I are great fans of Tariq and loving the location (800 yards from home) of The China Garden it never really worked for us especially when Tariq lost some of his best people. Knowing Khan and AJ and enjoying their food very much Chris and I look forward to enjoying their new venture when we are next out at the end May. Will they be having any live music? Good to know Tropicana will also be continuing as we enjoy a stroll up to there for a meal sat around their lovely pool. The Courtyard will feel comfortable with Tariq back there and he contributed to a great Monday evening two weeks ago where the one and only Brian Delaney delivered a fantastic musical evening. Anyone know where Suliman and Imran from Liasons have gone and who if any have taken over the Grove? regards Doug

I am sure that Khan & AJ will make a great success of their move to new premises. I believe that the menu will have a revamp as well as the establishment. We both look forward to visiting and enjoying the food and atmosphere when it reopens for dining early April. We wish them all the best for the new venture !! Steve & Elaine
