We are coming to North Cyprus again but this time we have a German exchange student with us. He only has a European ID card. Whilst it allowed him entry to the UK, will it be sufficient to allow him entry to TRNC ?

I would check with the TRNC office in London

If your flying to Turkey you may need to check with the Turkish Embassy for transit requirements.
