As 2009 approaches, may I propose a last minute appeal to all members.



This board is valuable to me, but for the last 3 months I have found myself unable to post

without unfounded and unbalanced criticsm. May I propose new rules.



1 Do not attack any member if they are defending themselves from unwarrantied attack.

2 Get your facts right.

3 Keep your nose out unless it is you that is being unfairly critiscised.

4 Make sure that the moderators do their job, in a balanced manner.

5 STRICTLY enforce the personal insults rule!

6 Ban permanently anyone who uses unbalanced,abusive or grossly offensive remarks7

7 The Moderators have accepted responsibilty to do a very difficult job. Respect their views,

but equally hold them to account!

8 At the risk of boring members, remember the words of Rudyard Kipling.



IF you can stand to hear the words you've spoken, twisted by knaves, that make a trap for fools.

very apparant that some members need to be reminded of the obligations of membership.

Coachie, Spent the last couple of days over in Sheffield visiting family but came home this afternoon and drove the scenic route from Ashbourne back to Cheadle................Snow , Fog, Ice it was well dodgy on the roads just nipped out in the car its -4 on the dashboard.

Wyn, nice to have you back! And yes I totally agree with what you say. Prime example tonight was someone saying something about me which is 100% inaccurate. And a lot of problems stem from incorrect information.

Whilst on gardening leave earlier this year I found this forum and enjoyed the banter that was to be had. I was going through a difficult time and enjoyed the views of the people who posted. My life changed and I did not have the time to log into the forum on a daily basis. I have popped in and out since september and noticed that most of the 'regulars' seemed to be quiet. I do hope that Wyns words of wisdom are heeded. Yes, there are serious items in life to deal with as well as humourous but let the members show compassion in 2009. I wish you all health,happiness for the coming year.
