Have just been reading the latest and am encouraged that constructions is underway.. was surprised to learn that TB Property's have been dropped by Santa Fe.. do you know why ? Last saw the development site in Feb.. fell in love, placed a contract for a holiday apart in A3.. plan to go out next summer.. have been starved of any real info on the site (guess it's just been too hot - don't u just love those words !).. the site plan has changed and I did hear that they may be changing plans to accomodate more 1 beds (as they are more popular) can anyone confirm ? Cheers..

Work is well underway at Turtle Bay Beach as I saw in October. The blocks that have been sold are due to be at second floor level by the end of this year and from the photos I can see that this may very be true. It is unlikely that additional properties will be built on site as the original plans were denied planning permission and were re-submitted with less properties before they were approved. Not sure why Santa Fe and Turtle Bay Properties have parted way but construction is well underway now.

Richy From what I saw of the other SantaFe developments they are pretty good at delivering promises. OK so they may be late, but this IS the North Cyprus that I have known and loved for 25 years!

I was given a genuine reason why SantaFe despensed with the services of Turtle Bay Properties but it was told to me in confidence so I will respect that confidence.

From the information we have been provided from various sources, including other builders, Santa Fe are known to deliver, perhaps not always on time but what is on time in Cyprus?! We wouldn't love the place so much if it was any different

Guy's, thanks for your info.. are the Photo's available via Sante Fe ?...agree that they appear to be good guy's... I spoke with the Arcitect and Engineering Partner when I visited and nothing was too much trouble..such genuinely nice people. Not sure why they removed the blocks near the ravine though... hey, I think it's actually better than before. Do you know what plans they have for the beach area, all seemed to be very loose when I discussed. Tks..

The blocks next in line to the ones that were removed (A1 A2 A3 etc) will have uninterupted view over the ravine towards sweetwater bay and up the coast

Hi all, The blocks near the ravine were removed as the original planning application was denied so from what we gather Sante Fe re-submitted them with less properties and it was approved - so this is a good thing, it won't be too packed in! The guys on site are really (really) helpful and I also asked them if it was possible to fit in a tennis court and they said they would look into it. If you are keen on the idea and fancy a game then please mention it to Santa Fe, they said there is room for one. In terms of the beach, the site manager explained that stairs will be landscaped in down to the beach and sand would be imported so in theory it should look pretty amazing once it is finished. As part of the residents association it will be up to all of us to make sure it stays that way but I am not sure who will be contacting us about that.

Hi everyone Had an email from SantaFe today, they sent some photos similar to the ones from Kyrenia007 - thanks for those. They didn't mention about any blocks being removed, but had a look on Unwins site. See the restaurant has been moved too (guess that's what the building is). Also told me they have 'been in negotiations with Turtle Bay Properties' and from now on we would be dealing directly with SantaFe. Is anyone using Gurkan & Gurkan solicitors? Keep up the good work with all the info - it's a great help.

007, good idea about the tennis court just a bit worried that it might interfer with that view to the sea... I know it gets a bit chilly out of season and have heard that TB Village have a heated pool... could be good for Xmas / Easter... what do you think ?

Hi Richy, Don't worry I thought about that too! I was wondering if the tennis court could be near the entrance somewhere, basically in a corner where it won't affect th beautiful views either side I know there will be a mini golf course in the ravine but I do love a game of tennis. Excellent plan about the heated pool! I think in Xmas/Easter it will be lovely to go for a long walk, followed by a good swim and then off to a local restaurant for some decent kebab and meze Ok Milou and the Turtle Bay Beach guys, I feel a summer party coming on! We just have to wait till 2009! It will go in a flash

Hi Richy, I spoke with the site manager in October when we were there last and he said they were working on the properties that have been sold so far, so at the time 22 blocks were under construction. We are going in April so I expect significant progress by then.

Turtle Bay Beach has been mothballed by SantaFe probably indefinitely. I was offered the opportunity to transfer my purchase to another development which I reluctantly did but I got my apartment. I got my keys last week!

Hi Villa My wife and I were offered the repayment option but after meeting with the directors in March this year we discided to take the offer of an appartment at the cove near Lapta. We are very pleased with the appartment and have spent a few weeks holiday there. Turtle bay beach is not going to happen and the repayment option is not guarenteed so would advise other purchasers to do the same.

Villa I think a couple of purchasers took the repayment option, but were offered £1000 per month until the amount was repaid, a trifle risky I think. I was offered an apartment on Citrus Gardens at Karsiyaka, which is a lovely development, but unfortunately the extra cash I had to fork out means that I will not be able to afford to live there as soon as I had hoped. At least I got my apartment!

Villa I think the general opinion was that taking action against SantaFe would take years , be expensive and really a waste of time. In these parts of the world it is not what you know but who! I am told that a couple of purchasers took the refund route and will receive £1000 per month until the full amount is paid. In my case that would have been a repayment by late 2011.
