I have just purchased the Business, not started it as yet, I have the whole set of Martina Cole books but a girl on the forum has a few of them and so far not been able to get them back, they are great so if there is one your haven't read feel free to ask, I would gladly loan them out, and in the meantime get my others back, but would like them returned as I am saving them for my Sister to read when she is over in June.

I love Autobiographies and have quite a lot. I must say quite a few unread but as they were gifts and not ones I would have chosen myself there's a lot to go around. I also have a lot of craft books (another of my passions) that I am willing to pass on to people. Please can the next person going to Northern Cuprus and space contact me and I will sort out my boks with pleasure for others to enjoy.

Lilli the book you refer to is the "kite runner" by Khaled Hosseini, and his second novel also set in Afghanistan is "A Thousand Splendid Suns" about the friendship of women in terrible times. Like the Kite runner - you need a box of tissues at the ready!! The Kite runner has been made into a film, and is available here in the local DVD shops (English sub-titles).

Yes lilli I have seen the film and it was very good, the little boys were such good actors, although the one who was raped was given a hard time afterwards by friends and neighbours. I hope that the second book is made into a film too. I also watched a Turkish film recently (dvd with english sub-titles) about honour killing in Turkey. It was very good - I will have to check the name of the film though!!
