i sold a car that i imported from the uk to an english man whilst i was there,i found out the duty that had to be paid and said that i would do it before i sold it to him.He didn,t want to do this so we went to the notary so he had full legal rights to do this when the time came,however when i returned to uk i was contacted by him and told that i now had a criminal record and an impending fine for supposedly selling my car illegally i cannot return to the island to collect my belongings as i do not know how much the fine would be or if it is actually real.Any ideas on how to find out would be appreciated.

i think you were supposed to go to the car registration office with him.

maybe that is the problem?

i would contact akan gurkan as he is a good criminal lawyer maybe he could help.
