Never done forums before......BUT having read loads of these threads over the last few hours I have signed up. A colleague of mine has just bought a 3 bed villa in North Cyprus. Little did I know that he has made several visits over the last 12 months done his research, and believe me he doesn't part with cash too easily. He even has bought and driven a 4x4 over to have there permantly.

So when I asked for recommendations he said have a look at Turtle Bay and Sea Terra. Irrespective of price which I would like to leave out of this for the moment (and no I am not loaded) can anyone offer any constructive advise on these two???? I like Sea Terra Bay and have been in touch with them by email. Can anyone forward pictures of this development if they have already made the trip??? email a.pedley@hotmail.com

and offer any views of this development

Hi Vandrew,

welcome to cyprus44.Like many people the thing that inspired me to look at properties in north Cyprus was Sea Terra. Probably because they were so well advertised. There is no doubt that these are good quality properites and Sea Terra have a good reputation. The problem is that North Cyprus is full of such builds and its not just about the property its also about the location. There are villas that cost just as much as what Sea Terra are asking for their 3 bed apartments. If you are seriously interested you need to go over there and spend 2 weeks just looking round the island. Decide if you want a quiet secluded area or one which has bars, restaurants and more infrastructure. It really is a matter of choice. When you have decided which areas you like then look at what is available in those areas and compare with Sea Terra and Turtle beach. Go on over.....check it out and then make a decision.

We are definetley looking for a quiter location and within a stones throw of the sea. Although we like a bit of remoteness I prefer the security of these gated developments and the fact they have an on site property management service to take care of the pools and grounds as this is would be a get away from the UK on a regular basis. Far from being lazy.......we have our own business and I must put in over 100 hours per week....I am looking to gain the insight from everyone elses research!!!! Thanks for your post

Vandrew,

SeaTerra's website shows up to date photos on construction progress to date and are updated in a timley manner.

Believe me, there is no better way to assess these developements, that to go over there and see them for yourself, both from a quality point of view, but also location of the developement and also the layout and vastness of some of them.

It's down to individual taste and whilst it's good to canvas peoples opinions, that's all they are, so take advantage of SeaTerra's £195 Inspection trip and you can extend the trip if you want and go make up your own mind.

If you have never been to TRNC, you will not be disappointed.

Regards

MC

Vandrew,

Why would you want a gated development, the nice thing about TRNC the crime rate is around 3%, the people are so friendly and helpful.

Find time and go and have a look, you probably will not come home without buying something.

Hi Vandrew,

I have bought on the Bay with SeaTerra, will be going out over Xmas to inspect our property as should be finished on the 15th Dec I will update you with our findings. Friends of ours have also bought on the Reserve and have recently come back from a visit. Our friends confirm the SeaTerra website is quite accurate so suggest you look there at the site pictures for some idea.

Hi Vandrew,

Have sent you a link to some photos I took last week. Some apartments seem to have significant problems, but not the majority by any means. The location at the bay is just fab.
