I was considering fetching out my equipment with me but my fella reckons nobody needs a fake tan when the sun is shining all the time.. but I reckon we are all keeping out of the sun or protecting our skin because of the risks, but still wanting that lovely healthy glow to wear our summer clothes... Anyone interested and I will bring it all with me.

I think its a fab idea! If you work all week and are stuck indoors there is only the weekends to catch the sun and thats if you want to expose your skin to the sun!! Good luck!

the reason spray tanning is so popular in the uk is that there is: NO BL**DY SUN !! A country with 320 days sun per year is hardly going to be the place to run a successful spray tanning business... Nick

No it doesn't stop you burning, but at least you don't stand out as the typical Brit all white, plus you get the the white bits tanned also, great smithy

Wash out any used spray bottle. Fill with 200ml olive oil. Add 20gms Paprika Powder. (Smoked Paprika for E. Europeans or Russians) Shake well. Spray liberally and stand outside for 1 hour. ( Recipe comes from OrangeKazzie and SuntanMan, Littlenige apparently uses HP sauce in place of Paprika.) Cheap as chips! ROB

| Thanks for the interest guys, message 8 'No1Doven' The spray soloution has no sun protection factor in it so you will still have to wear your sun protection as usual. Neggy Nick, dont knock it till you've tried it love!! I'll make you a spray tan convert!! If I can get a few regular ladies it will a great way for me to meet people when I get there too. | I think its a great idea. Firstly with all the the dangers and risks of being out in the sun all day, this will provide people with a healthy alternative. Secondly, i am shocked at the amount of times i go and visit realtives who live in cyprus and find them to be white as the driven snow! By the time my 2 week holiday ends, i am darker then the ones who live there full time! Talk about selling Snow to the Eskimos, but i think it might just work! Good luck - Repro. p.s. whilst out in California l was shocked to see the number of tanning salons. Like Cyprus, people who live and work there full time, just dont have the time to sit in the sun all day. |

mess 20 - HEALTHY ??? - you havin a larf !! How can coating your body with gunk and blocking it's poors be healthy... I'm sure in years to come, folk will look back on spray tanning and chuckle (like the Cadbury's Smash robots !!). Nick

Negative Nick. I would say its a damn sight more healthier than coating your body in sun cream gunk, blocking your pores, laying in the midday sunshine for hours on end, cooking your flesh like a roast dinner, then going home and covering your self in yet more after sun gunk, blocking your pores. hmm, as far as i am aware no one has died from a Spray tan.... Repro. p.s. if the point your getting at is that there is no direct health benefit from using spray tan itself, but i did say it was a healthy 'ALTERNATIVE' to being out tanning in the sun all day.

mess 22 - think you'll find that Brits who move to the Med, statistically live longer than the ones staying at home - something to do with the sunshine, apparently... No mention of spray tans though.... Nick

Nick. I would also think that the change of diet has a greater effect on your health than the sun.

I used the spray tan for my wedding. Great effect but lasted about 7 - 8 days, needed to salt scrub it off as it got patchy. Oil your hands / elbows / knees as they can be dry and look over dyed. jj

I have never been a sun worshipper but do look better when I have a tan. I looked for a spray tan year before last before going to a big do but couldn't find one and so went white and not my best.

Forgot to say. There was a spray tan here about 3/4 years ago but she got rid of it due to no interest but I thought it was too expensive. Hope you charge a reasonable price???

£15 is about 35ytl here at the moment. I would not pay that, spray tan only lasts a few days and so that makes it too expensive. I would probably pay about 25ytl. I also think that the lower the price the more customers you would get.
