North Cyprus Tourism have once again taken a stall ( B9 ) in the Holiday show at Kings Hall Belfast 16th -18th Jan. Us Norn Irish should go along and ask them why they are advertising a country that we can only get to through the mainland?????

They are also in Dublin RDS on 23rd - 25th Jan. At least you can fly to Ercan from Dublin albeit through Istanbul.

Hi Ballyboffin

Oh yes I will be going to that one I cant see why that can link us up to Istanbul we can get flights to Ercan from both airports if we can fly direct to Istanbul.

The flight prices from Dublin this year are expensive.

Will maybe see you there.

Last time we flew from Ercan to Glasgow, we were diverted twice to Belfast and the stewardess said that we could get a Bus to Glasgow through the tunnel !! Maybe they know something that we don't !!

Nice to hear that there are a few of us here. Great to know that we are not alone in the 'sea of English' out there!!!! Ha ha.

donagadee3 Welcome to you. We are living in Ballywalter so we were neighbours until you took the plunge and moved to Arapkoy. Our house is in Ozankoy, but we have too many ties to the auld place to move there permanently. Coming next month though for 6 weeks and will be there for St. Patrick's day, any chance Lilli of a bit of a do for all us REAL EX- PATS? That would be great craic indeed, to be sure!

trigger, We hail originally from Belfast, Newtownbreda in fact. We met a couple buying in Caesar in October who are from Carryduff and I know there are a few more of us buying there as well so you won't be feeling lonely!

Hi I'm Orla from County Limerick and we have a holiday home in Dogankoy. we usually fly to Stansted and onwards, cheaper than flying from Dublin.

Thanks Hippo for your estimation but you didn't sing the song did you?

Tourra-laa-Tourra-lee sure its 2311 miles from Girne to Donaghadee !!!!!

irishvixen, mess. 15 Yes went along on the Friday, it opened at 1pm but there was no sign of the NCT people until 2. Same old, same old, they say that there would be a chance of Belfast flights again if there were more people booking PACKAGES so Hippo's will fly first, me thinks. There weren't any brochures again, just the tourist brochure and a list of travel companies. The rest of the show was a bit grim too and not even a free pen to be had.

mmmmmm, Driving along the Portaferry Road last night, there was definately something large in the sky.................. You don't really think, do you ???? You're scaring me now, especially since I'd left the washing on the line oops!
