Okay, is it quicker to go via Metehan and follow signs for Troodos or to hack my way through Girne to the Bostanci crossing near Guzelyurt and pick up Troodos signs ther.Would be travelling at 7 ish in the morning so traffic congestion would be a consideration, also any approximate time scales would be good . Thanks in anticipation.

Yep, Ayios Dometios/ Metahan is quicker, but why not try the Astromeritis/ Bostanci near Morphou/Guzelyurt option on the way back as it is FAR more interesting ;) Are you going for a day trip or staying over? It is fun to get "lost" on the mountain roads around Troodos ..

I went to Trodos then to Limassol and back yesterday and it was a very enjoyable drive.. Unless you live towards Guzelyurt (Morphou) there is no point in using Bostancı/Astomeritis crossing.
