I was going to check my PTP with the above office today by email but thought I would just go to their website first. http://www.trncproperty.eu/ There is no information on any of their web pages. Does anyone have any info as to why this is? and is info@trncproperty.eu still the correct email address for the PTP office? Thanks Mc

You have to be kidding. They don't do anything, they haven't done anything any probably won't do anything. So why do you expect "Latest news" on their website to be full of usefull information. The PIO should be remaned WOS "Waste of space".

Have found Tugce Volkan to be very efficient. Emailed Tugce with my PTP application number in December 08 and received a response within a couple of days confirming approval and the decision date & reference number. Here is her email address: tugce@hotmail.com Good luck greenman

Hi greenman, great to hear you had some luck with your PTP enquiry. I completed the TRNC Prime ministry Home Application form in April 08 and sent it from Girne post office by registered mail to Tugce Volkan. I never received acknowledgement of receipt and despite emailing her many times I have never received a reply. Maybe it is because it contained a complaint regarding the conduct of an estate agent and an advocate.? GOOD luck anomug

Macsteve The email address 'tugci@hotmail.com' bounced my email when I sent it 3 weeks ago so not sure if this is a permanent fault. I contacted ulkerbaysen@yahoo.com and got a reply within 2 days informing me that they would get back to me with the P2P info I was after. Sure enough next day email arrived with the info

For all your information if you are interested. I emailed the Prime Ministry Property Office about their website and received this reply, within 30 minutes I might add. We are experiencing a technical difficulty with our web page. Our technical department is working on it. Thank you very much for your interest. The web page should be in service within few hours. Regards TRNC Prime Ministry Property Office

I emailed this week to enquire as to the status of my ptp and received very prompt answers. Mine is with the Military (suprise that) but they did say that ptp was taking between 6 months and 1 year. I have been one year already, my advocate told me last week that it can take 2 to 2 1/2 years. Has anyone receved their PTP is less than a year? Would be nice to know if it is possible. Mc

2 years and still waiting. Mine is also with the military. Is there something wrong with the system if some are getting them passed in 1 year and others are still waiting after 4 years?

Mine is also with "the Military". It's no wonder they still need 40,000 personnel here....that paperwork backlog must be mountainous ! Our advocate initially said most people get PTP within 18 months....after that deadline expired we were told 24 to 30 months.......watch this space !

MacSteviot, We applied for our PTP in Oct 2006. Approval was received by our advocate on OCT 2008. So our took just two years. wyn

We have been waiting since Sept 2005!! Can the ones that have their PTP granted please let me know if they got their 'police checks' from UK done themselves. It has been suggested that ours may be taking a long time because we didnt get these done ourselves. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Hi, I posted earlier that our PTP took two years to the month. We have provided nothing, in respect of Police checks. (Must have an honest face!) wyn

Thanks Wyn that puts my mind at rest about not having done that. Wonder what else holds these things up. I have been emailing Tugcu every couple of months but always the same answer. 'waiting for one more military check'. Would be nice if we could have taken advantage of cheaper transfer tax.

I applied in May 2004. In September 2007 I was "advised" to arrange my own "police check" to help speed things up. And guess what? - I'm still waiting, despite numerous phone calls, and emails!!

Hurray! Our lawyer emailed back today to say our PTP has been approved. I wonder if we will be in time to save money on the transfer tax? I guess the government need to get us into the position of actually being able to transfer deeds, or no point in giving the incentive to us all, if they have a massive backlog waiting for PTP. Good luck to everyone else waiting.

Hi all, we waited 2 years and 3 months for our ptp. Once 18 months have passed I think the secret is that you have to phone at least every month after this. If they say it is with the military, make a joke of it and ask what the military are doing with it all this time. Say they must have run out of ink for the stamp etc Have a laugh about it with them. Don't lose your temper or get angry, it will serve no purpose. The butlers wife.
