The Mazda Dealer is in the South. All parts are expensive, but all garages in the TRNC will send someone to get the parts for you and not charge you that much extra for doing it if they do the job. The dealer is A Stephanides and Sons in Nicosia Contact details are: Postal Address PO Box 21878 1514 Nicosia Cyprus Telephone +357-22497777 Fax +357-22491460 E-mail info@stephanides.com

Timothy, Thank you for that information, I will follow up tomorrow. I have a Mazda bought 2nd hand a couple of years ago and a while back the battery died - since then the cd player has not worked, radio is fine but rejects cds. Everyone here that I've asked has shaken their heads Appreciate your trouble, thanks!

Krin52, Does it reject ALL CD's. That is, offical shop bought ones, or just home made CD's or both? If it's just 'home made' ones then it could be that the CD hasn't had the burning session closed, or the pick up head is not aligned to how computer CD burners make CD's. It was something they tried to do to try and stop copying, until manufacturers got around the law by installing MP3 readers into CD machines. If it's both, then I've no idea why! Maybe try a disc head cleaner. It could just be coincidence it packs up and the battery dying.
