I have heard that the management company are trying to rent a part of the complex to a russian company for a night club/girly bar. Surely this cannot be true, can anyone confrim or dismiss this. I thought this development was a family orientated resort.

Re mess 1 - It's true - My friend is currently recruiting the girls to work there, Apparently it's going to be a spectular place - the owner is spending a fortune and want's it to be the best night club in the North, with the most stunning girls on the island. Suzie

Apparently a resident at SWB has complained so the building will be turned into a Nursing Home!!!!!

I can also confirm it is true. A pal in Lefkosia has a shop fitting company and has been given the contract to fit the place out. Monumental amounts of money being spent.

Whereabouts is the nightclub supposed to be going on SWB? There isn't anywhere big enough for something like that. Are you sure it isn't going to be outside the complex?

First the teetotal rumour, now some rubbish about a girlie bar. If you want to see a girlie bar, I suggest you go to the Dorchester in London. Went there for Jackie's [special] birthday. It was full of very attractive Russian ladies, plying their trade. Couldn't move anywhere for eastern european accents.

I don't think we should joke about 'night clubs' I think Cyprus 44 should start a campaign to get them closed down. The girls are kidnapped from their villages in their home countries, raped and beaten and forcable brought to North Cyprus. When they arrive they are forced to undergo medical checks and deported if they are found to have any diseases. Their passports are confiscated and they are forced to work long hours at the mercy of sick men. I read a recent UN report on this was absolutely shocking and it is very sad that such a sorry state of affairs and such a huge breach of human rights is allowed to continue in Northern Cyprus. The men who go there are no better than rapists because they are having sex with a woman without her consent because whether you snatch her off the street and rape her or go somewhere where you know she is being kept against her will, it is the same thing!

There was a report in the South of a young russian who was found dead after "falling" from the balcony of a caberet owners appt. Her Father thinks she was killed because she refused to become a prostitute - she went to Cyprus to work as a secretary - (so she thought). Very sad. Maybe the men who use these girls should remember they are someones daughter or sister?
