Can anyone explain how the tariff is worked out? Example:



KWs 275 @ 0.300000

275 @ 0.357273

275 @ 0.387273

1201 @ 0.510916



Why the big jump from 275 to 1201?



By the way my bill was for 1012.89tl ouch

Yeah, that's a huge bill! I think the big jump is because the fourth tariff is an unlimited amount if you know what I mean. In the previous bands you use 250 units then go into the next pay bracket but obviously at some point there is no next bracket to go into and therefore your units just keep adding up. Does that make sense?

Hi Pipie, I never got a bill in December so I am presuming this one is for 2 months, would that make sense?

I cook with electric, then theres the boiler, used the dryer a few times and also air con but didnt think id over used it, was trying to be careful.



Did anyone else not get a bill in December?

Kibtec are implying that you have used 2026 units in one month.



You need to go and see the man in the office. Entry is to the left of the door you go into to pay, up the stairs on the left and 1st door on the right. Ask him to look when the last bill was issued and if this covers 2 months. If it does get him issue one for the missing month, say half of the 2026 units and adjust this bill for the other half of the bill. The cost will then be more in line with useage. It is unfair to ask you to pay a large amount for there mistake as you get around 750 units a month at reduced rates.



If he disagrees then you'll just have to pay up. Otherwise they'll just cut you off! Or you will need to see his boss with a Turkish speaker who is in an office further up the road above the shops.

Thats right its showing on the bill that I have used 2026 units. I did get a bill in December but it showed zero usage and some small payment which totalled 9.20tl.



But like you say because its all come on one bill and is such a large amount I am not getting any units at the reduced rates.



I will call into the office and see if anyone can explain it to me.

hi all. not sure if its owt to worry about but my bill for jan, plus 5 of my friends bills, have shot up. for the first time since august, i ve been hit for 3 tarrifs, this months was nearly 200ytl for a 1 bed apt, with only controlled use of an oil rad plus usual lights, tv, computer, occasional w/mc and water pump x2 per day for only an hour. and i turn off all sockets. thing is kibtek says the meter never lies, so what can we do but pay up? otherwise we all risk being cut off and are then hit for a re-connection penalty! any explanation or is it just this place, lol!

we always compare with a local friend and both our bills have shot up in january.

our bills are usually around the 120ytl ish mark this jan they were 180 ytl ish.

did the price go up?

If you are running pool pump, the bills for Aug and Sep are a reasonable amount, October (vast decrease) maybe electric tripped out for a while and was switched back on later,, if you have a pool maintenance Co, they might be able to tell you more about that, obviously as temperatures drop, pool timer will be adjusted to less hours which could account for fluctuations in totals
