Here are two ways to drive from the UK to TRNC (or vice versa). A tried and tested scenic route "take your time") and another (the fastest) route, which I did myself (with a Dobermann in the back... no airline wanted to transport this lovely dog from Amsterdam to Istanbul to Ercan. Shame!).

If you click on the URL provided you see a map (low resolution, so-called screen quality). If however you want to *print* the map I can email you a high resolution map (large file though!). Email hansdoeleman@allcrusades.com and the map will be in your Inbox shortly (free of charge) - have a nice drive, Brits and Continentals!

Hi there - tried to open the link but it doesn't seem to work - if you wouldn't mind sending the higher resolution map to my inbox I would be very grateful!

Hi Dutch crusader,

Reading your post, I travel every day with a Dobermann seating beside me he gets the real hump if he has to stay at home, do you know if there are any Dobermann bredders in the Trnc?

Regards Ive.

RE msg 4, ive@karşiyaka : (...) do you know if there are any Dobermann bredders in the Trnc? (...)

===> Slightly off topic, I'm afraid, but the esteemed Moderators may forgive us. To answer your question: no, I don't know. But I know a Turkish Cypriot who is a great fan of Dobermann Pinchers (like obviously we are!). I believe he's a member of this board (nickname: "Iceman") and if he reads this message he may give you the required information. If he'd miss this message I'll give him a call and let you know. Or you call him yourself: "Iceman" (real name Mustafa): 0533 861 0329. His email: skycyprus@gmail.com . Hope this helps and have a nice day!

We had a Doberman for 7 years until she died. Faithful to the end, have really fond memories of her. When she died it was like losing someone close to you.

Hi I thought we were the only people stupid enough to be driving from to the TRNC to pick up two dogs. I don't feel quite so stupid now.

RE msg 8, ive@karsiyaka: Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. I suggest you start a new thread, because in this old thread there are also two broken links (msg 1 and 2).

To avoid email about the broken links I have restored the link(s) for interested people:
