Kaya Artemis Hotel opening brings excitement
The Turkish Cypriot economy, driven at present by both the real estate and the tourism sectors, recently received one more jewel that was added to the Bafra Tourism Region following a massive private sector investment by Kaya Holdings, coupled with the support and assistance of the government.
Taking its name from the mythological Greek goddess Artemis the 2,5000 bed Kaya Artemis Hotel was opened last Saturday, June 2, at a ceremony attended by Turkish Cypriot President Mehmet Ali Talat, Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer, Turkey’s Ambassador to Nicosia Turkekul Kurttekin and Burhaneddin Kaya, Chairman of Kaya Holding’s executive committee. The external design of the hotel, that is reputed to be the largest in the north, follows closely the projected architectural style of the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus in Turkey.
