Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki has met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
Mr Maliki is in the Turkish capital for a two day official visit.
The fight against terror was on top of the discussions between the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Bilateral relations, the situation in Iraq and regional issues were also among the issues discussed by the two leaders.
At the end of their talks, the two Prime Ministers led the discussions between the two countries’ delegations.
During his stay in the Turkish capital, the Iraqi Prime Minister will also meet with the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, Bulent Arinc.
Mr Maliki is visiting the country for the first time since becoming the Iraqi Prime Minister.
His planned visit to the country last month was cancelled because a sand storm in the Iraqi capital Baghdad had prevented his plane taking off.
