President Mehmet Ali Talat has said the Greek Cypriot Administration has been mocking the international community with it statements claiming that the Turkish Cypriot people are enjoying their rights as the citizens of the Republic of Cyprus.
Speaking to the BRT newsroom this morning, the President touched upon the latest statements made by the Greek Cypriot Side on the issue.
President Talat criticized the Greek Cypriot Side for pursuing a campaign of propaganda aimed at covering up the international isolation of the Turkish Cypriot People by claiming that there is no such isolation.
President Talat complained that the Greek Cypriot Administration was trying to frame the Turkish Cypriots for keeping the isolation issue on the agenda so as to achieve diplomatic recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
He said the Greek Cypriot Administration finds itself in a ridiculous position by doing such things.
Adding that the international community is well aware of the ongoing international isolation of the Turkish Cypriot People, Mr Talat said the unjust isolation has been better understood by the World after the 2004 referenda on the Annan Plan.
