New novel by London Cypriot
"Fourteen Million to One" is a new novel written by British Turkish Cypriot Jason Nightingale. The story is about an elderly man who wins the lottery, but has his winning ticket stolen by a teenage boy. After failing to get any help from the police, as the elerly man cannot prove his ticket was stolen, he decides to sue the boy through a court.
The story which was published by the Underground Press in Sep 2006, is based on the characters the boy encounters during this court case. The story features a Turkish character called Ismail Inanilmaz and other people who try to use the boy for his stolen money.
