Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul has said the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been receiving more appreciation from the international community as an entity.
Defending the policies of his government on the Cyprus issue, he said that positive results are being achieved as a result of these policies.
Speaking to a television channel, Mr Gul explained that Turkey wanted to show the realities of the island with its current policies and cited recent positive developments, such as the contacts the TRNC Leaders have been making with foreign leaders and the important economic developments achieved in the Republic.
On the opening of Turkish ports to the Greek Cypriot Side, he repeated that Ankara will open its posts when the European Union honors its promises.
He said that the EU countries have seen how much damage the Greek Cypriot Administration had given to the Union but added that some countries within the Block have been using the issue against Turkey.
