Can anyone advise the current & up to date Rules on bringing a car to Cyprus. The car I am thinking of bringing is only a few months old & I appreciate import duty would need to be paid, but can anyone advise: When is the duty due, how much the duty is & how it is calculated, is it still a load of agro or is it a reasonably easy procedure? Thanks

1-yOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY THE DUTIES STRAIGHT AWAY. 2-When you arrive here, you'll get 30 days permit 3-After 30 days you can extend it for further 6 months (you'll need residency+contracts/deeds as a proof) if all fine 4-You'll get another 6 months permit 5-Now is the time to pay the duties on your car WHY? Duties are based on the value of the vehicle and they lose value everyday. I'd say it is very fairly agro free these days. ps.Note that all above are based on:Yoyu have spent kless then 360 days on the island, otherwise import duties must be paid on arrival. If you need any help.sall me on 0533 873 9181 or my e-mail is in my profile.

Thanks for your help, just after I posted this I got someone wanting to buy the car, so didn't have to bring it in the end. But thanks again.
