Silver Beach

Not Available

You can enjoy both the ancient ruins and sands at Silver Beach right next to the ruins of Salamis in North Cyprus.

Silver Beach is an ideal place to combine a bit of culture and some serious sun-worshipping! The best entrance to Silver Beach is at Kambanopetra. Remember to take your snorkel, as this North Cyprus beach has its own lagoon, contained by a small reef. The water is warm and shallow, and you can snorkel and watch the fish swimming over the remains of the ancient jetties in the water below you.

Also remember to wear a t-shirt and waterproof sunscreen on the backs of your legs when snorkling in North Cyprus, to prevent sunburn from the strong sun. When you've swum and sunbathed to your heart's content, the simple cafeteria at Silver Beach will serve you a snack and a drink, but you will probably want to leave the beach and head for the main road past Salamis for a more substantial lunch.
