I know a couple of people that live in Imperial properties in Karsiyaka... on the whole they are both very happy. Couple of teething problems, but got what they paid for and a very easy company to deal with by all accounts.

I had a run in with the Owner once (Gultekin bey) and I put him down big time in front of all his workers



He has loads of court cases against him, and as far as I am concerned he is a total sleeze ball ( A Turkish Garry Rob )

Hi we bought an apartment from GULTEKIN BEN Imperial Construction he has always been helpful and done whatever we have asked of him, if you want to contact me off board please feel free..



His son Okan is also very pleasent to deal with and although our apartment was a little late we got all we paid for he even arranged for all the connections in our names and would not take a penny for doing it.

On a personal level I rent an imperial construction apartment and i have no complaints, they even came and filled my water tank up when we ran out recently free of charge.

My parents bought a property in Karsiyaka from Gultekin Ben / Imperial. No problems. He is a very nice bloke and goes out of his way to be helpful. No hesitation in recommending.

I have had dealings with them since 2003, always done excellent work on my house for me (wasnt bougt from imperial), and a lot better than my builder did. Two of my freinds have bought from Imperial in Karisyaka, the house's were built on time and had a high a high quality finish. One of them has had his freinds buy as well. All were very happy. Only issue they had was the delay in getting electricity meters in from Kibtek. If you want any details feel free to contact me.

I was the first buyer in Karsiyaka and I can honestly say that Gultekin Ben has always been very helpful. Our house was built on time and apart from the electricity connection from Kibtek we have no complaints. I have heard real horror stories about builders and I am so thankful we found him to buy from.



I will be quite happy to allow Mr Ben to show people around our home. He has always held our keys for us so feel free to contact him for a tour.

I have been building in TRNC since 1988. I have buils in Ozankoy, Dogankoy, Girne, Alsancak, Lapta, and Karsiyaka, (never in Karaoglanoglu) in total over 100 units. All the properties were completed in time and to our usual high standard.

Only had one problem with Glenn and family (sister, brother in law, sister in l aws brother etc) we end up in court, they owed me in total 341K.

I work on the bases that, you pay me I build you a house, you do not pay, I do not build.

In your message 4 paragraph 2, you said there are 'loads of court cases against me and/or Imperial' I chalange you to name one other than the one mantioned above.

If you can not. Please write to Sue again, with corrected information.

As to GR, lets leave him out of this.....

We bought our land/house in Alsancak from Gultekin at Imperial years ago. It was a straight forward transaction, and we had no problems at all.



We subsequently used Imperial a few times for some extras (Digging a well & water tanks etc), and again had no problems.



They also hold our key and manage the property when we're not in Cyprus, and we've never had problems with the management service either.

I have just joined yes. But I have been following this bulletin board for a couple of weeks and have never felt the need to post before. After seeing this post I am only giving my honest opinion. It is unfair if people only hear the bad side of something or someone. They should be hear the good views as well. You can see that all the posts, bar one, are giving a positive view and this should be taken into account. This is what they call democracy. I am sure Sue can decide for herself whether she should recommend someone or not.



And NO I do not have any allegiance to Imperial or Mr Ben. Only that if I need help or advice I know I can call on him any time.

I purchased 18 months ago a bungalow in Karisyaka from Gultekin Ben (Imperial Construction), l have always found him and Okan to be extremely helpful. Gultekin Ben is a conscientious and reliable builder that takes pride in the properties he builds. He is always contactable and willing to give help if needed. They have carried out additional work at my property which has been done competitively and promptly! I am happy to thoroughly recommend this builder to anyone and would be happy for a member of my family to purchase a property from them.

I bought a resale of Imperial's 3years ago and met Mr.Ben shortly after. He and his son Okan have always been my first call for any work i need done on my property. They have never said 'No' and are always happy to help.



On my recomendation, two close friends of mine have bought from Gultekin and both are very happy with their properties and all get along with the 'Bens'



The only problem we all share is that we cant be Cyprus more often ;)
