Acapulco Beach

Acapulco Beach

The Club Acapulco beach is like every beach should be; golden sands, with book-end rocky promontories, and shallow, warm water. It’s also clean, tidy, and has a great range of facilities, including a bar, beach restaurant, umbrellas, sun beds and even a nightclub. The beach belongs to Club Acapulco, a hotel complex with all the usual amenities. Needless to say, such a pristine beach has an entry charge, currently the highest of all Kyrenia beaches, but it’s well worth it for the pristine surroundings. Your entry fee covers the use of the showers, sun beds and changing rooms. The energetic can also indulge in water sports or tennis during the day, or join the vibrant nightclub in the evening, for an extra charge. If you fancy a trip back in time, the Neolithic excavations of Vrysi stand on one of the promontories. This collection of stone houses was excavated by the University of Glasgow back in the late 1960s, and the exposed walls are unfortunately now eroding away.
