Cyprus44 Review
The cheeky chaps at Turtle Bay Properties have a great sense of humour; immediately after the floods in the UK in summer 2007, they posted a deal for free summer Inspection Trips with a "Rain Free" stamp on their web site - very tempting indeed! The deal (subject to terms and conditions, of course) gives free flights, free transfers and free accommodation for three nights, and the opportunity to view the range of Turtle Bay properties in their portfolio. Turtle Bay Properties started out selling properties in Marbella, Spain, over 20 years ago, and now sell homes in North Cyprus, and as far afield as Brazil.
Turtle Bay Heights is a private apartment resort complete with its own water park, which makes it ideal for families with younger children. Kids and adults alike will love splashing around thois North Cyprus waterpark’s swimming pool ands whizzing down the water slides, and for younger children, it's an ideal way to make new friends on holiday.
The site is well positioned next to the new golf course at Esentepe, and next to a five star hotel complex, should you wish to go for a meal or a drink offsite. Not that you'll necessarily need to, as Turtle Bay Heights has its own bar and restaurant. All the facilities of the five star hotel are open to Turtle Bay Heights residents. Turtle Bay Heights is set amongst a pine forest, so you can escape from the noise and activity of the pool area and find a quiet shady place to read if you so desire!
The gated community at Turtle Bay Heights consists of 100 apartments, in contemporary designed blocks. The two bedroom apartments are 88sqm and the three bedroom apartments are 95sqm, with white goods and air conditioning included as standard. The penthouse apartments have roof terraces at one end of the apartment, with the living space at the front and two bedrooms at the back. The ground floor apartments have a bedroom where the penthouses have a terrace, with a tiny balcony space. This ground floor apartments may have three bedrooms instead of two (and costs £5000 + more than the two bedrooms version), but you have virtually no outdoor space. You pay your money, you take your choice...
The apartment blocks are well spaced around the entire site, especially blocks A to E , who have one swimming pool to share, as opposed to the nine blocks that potentially share the other, and the further eight whose nearest pool is the water-park itself.
Turtle Bay Heights seems a good investment for families with young children who want a fun place in the sun for their holidays, and also a potentially rentable property for the rest of the year. The site itself has relatively few facilities compared to other North Cyprus developments, but with the five star hotel facilities next door and available to all residents, it probably doesn't need them. However, for those who like to sit out and enjoy the evening sun, the penthouses are the more desirable apartments available off-plan at Turtle Bay Heights, North Cyprus.
